In broad terms a stimulus triggers a reaction from someone. While a response is now we react. For example wayin your hand in someone’s face is a stimulus and the fliniching done by the other person is the response.

Answer:

In behavioral psychology, "stimulation" is what causes a reaction in one's behavior and attitudes. The "response" is the reaction that the stimulus causes.

Explanation:

The concepts of stimulus and response cannot be understood separately. Any middle event becomes a stimulus if it is followed by a response. These terms are of fundamental importance so that we can study the relationship between environment and behavior in a specific and more precise way.

Stimuli are "things" that affect the sense organs, which when excited cause nerve impulses to be transmitted to the brain or medulla and hence to the muscles and glands. It is from this sequence that the stimuli-related responses result in behavioral psychologists.
