Historical inquiry is the process of “doing history”. It is a cyclical process that begins with the asking of guiding historical questions. This is followed by locating and analysing historical sources to establish historical evidence.
Doing history is the act of constructing historical interpretations using the historical method or historical inquiry, which engages historical evidence, particularly primary and secondary sources, and analyzes them for information and evidence.
Lecture: Reasons to use primary sources and historical inquiry in the classroom. Why use primary sources? Documents--diaries, letters, drawings, and memoirs--created by those who participated in or witnessed the events of the past tell us something that even the best-written article or book cannot convey.
There are three generally accepted methods of educational research. They are the historical method, the survey method, and the experimental method. Since this study attempts to explore the history of the education of women in Kerala, the historical method will be the most suitable one for this study.

Answer: The correct answer is C) formulating effective questions.

Explanation: Historical inquiry helps us to organize events to explain the past. Historical inquiry is based on open ended-questioning. We start by asking historical questions that can guide us. Then you analyze historical sources to get some historical evidence that is going to help us to have historical interpretations.

What does 'franchise' mean in the context of voting?
adoni [48]

Answer: A) privilege to vote

You could also consider this the right to vote.

Often you may hear in the news the term "disenfranchisement", which means "taking away someone's right to vote". Another term for this is "voter suppression" or "voter disqualification". There may be valid reasons to do this such as the person has committed a crime and it is against the law for people of this nature to vote; though many would argue that this is unconstitutional.

Side note: The answer choice C is close, but voting is not an obligation. It's a choice.
