42 ÷ 396
You could use 40 ÷ 400, which would give you 0.1 as an estimate.
You could also use 42 ÷ 420, which would also give you 0.1 as an estimate.

By the way, by a pair of "compatible numbers", it means when you can easily work out the sum by calculating the first digits multiplied or divided together, then add the zeros.

For example, with 40 ÷ 400, we know that
40 ÷ 40 is 1, so we just put the other 0 infront of the decimal point to make it 0.1.

If it was multiplying (2 x 600), you could work out 2 x 6 (12), then add the 0's to get 1,200

1] Square; Rectangle; Quadrilateral.

2] All rectangles are Quadrilaterals.

3] Arrange four equal length sides, so the diagonals are equal length also.

4] As per the Isosceles trapezoid.
Base angles are equal to each other and upper both angles are equal to each other too.
So,
20x+9 = 14x+15
20x-14x = 15-9
6x = 6
x = 1°

K = M = 29°

Sum of all angles of quadrilateral equal to 360°.

360-(29+29) = 360-58 = 302°

Sum of upper both equal angles is 302°.
One of them will be 302/2 = 151°

Answer will be 151°.

Katen [24]

The square of an odd number:

We're to conjecture, not do algebra, apparently.  1²=1, 3²=9, 5²=25, 7²=49, ...

We conjecture the square of an odd number is odd.

The product of two evens and an odd:

Again, we'll run some examples.

(2)(2)(1)=4

(2)(4)(3)=24

(4)(6)(5) =120

(4)(8)(1)=32

Conjecture: The product of two evens and an odd is a multiple of 4

Counterexample: The product of two fractions is never an integer

How about

3/4 × 4/3 = 1
