Hi, Serenafrancis1! :)

This can be solved by creating a simple algebraic equation:
5x=1200
x=money saved per month

Solve for x:
5x=1200
Divide both sides by 5.
(5x)/5=(1200)/5
Simplify.
x=240

You would need to save $240 a month.

Hope this helps.

All this is asking you is to find how much you need to save per month (limit of 5) in order to make your goal of $1200.

To solve this, simply divide 1200 by 5, which is the months, and you get $240, which is how much you have to save per month in 5 moths to reach your exact goal of $1200. If anything is confusing please ask :)

The answer is 48 can someone explain how?
mestny [16]

Answer:

<h2>48</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

(1)

apple × apple × 2apple = 54

2apple³ = 54    <em>divide both sides by 2</em>

apple³ = 27 → apple = ∛27

apple = 3

(2)

apple + apple × green_apple = 24   <em>substituite apple = 3</em>

3 + 3 × green_apple = 24        <em>subtract 3 from both sides</em>

3 × green_apple = 21         <em>divide both sides by 3</em>

green_apple = 7

(3)

strawberry - bannana - banana = 0 → strawberry = 2banana

(4)

strawberry + banana + cherry = 24     <em>substitute from (3)</em>

2banana + banana + cherry = 24

3banana + cherry = 24

(5)

apple + banana - cherry = -1          <em>substitute apple = 3</em>

3 + banana - cherry = -1         <em>subtr3 from both sides</em>

banana - cherry = -4

Add both sides of (4) and (5)

 3banana + cherry = 24

<u>+banana - cherry = -4       </u>

4banana = 20       <em>divide both sides by 4</em>

banana = 5

Substitute it to (4):

3(5) + cherry = 24

15 + cherry = 24      <em>subtract 15 from both sides</em>

cherry = 9

Substitute to the last equation:

3 + 5 × 9 = 3 + 45 = 48

Draw a number line to divide 70 ÷5 =
Lunna [17]

Answer:

14

Step-by-step explanation:

In 70/5 the dividend is 70 and the divisor is 5 .

First draw a number line from zero to the dividend.

Next, starting from 70 skip count by the divisor backwards till you reach 0.

The numbers of skips taken to reach zero is the result, also called, the quotient. In this case there are 14 skips .

John had a bag of marbles as shown below.
Montano1993 [528]

Answer:

\sf A) \quad \dfrac{9}{100}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • 3 green marbles
  • 4 blue marbles
  • 2 red marbles
  • 1 yellow marble

Total number of marbles = 3 + 4 + 2 + 1 = 10

\sf Probability\:of\:an\:event\:occurring = \dfrac{Number\:of\:ways\:it\:can\:occur}{Total\:number\:of\:possible\:outcomes}

Probability of selecting a green marble on first pick:

\implies \sf P(green\:marble)=\dfrac{3}{10}

Probability of selecting a green marble on second pick:

\implies \sf P(green\:marble)=\dfrac{3}{10}

(as the 1st pick was replaced)

Therefore,

\implies \textsf{P(green marble) and P(green marble)} \sf =\dfrac{3}{10} \times \dfrac{3}{10}=\dfrac{9}{100}

Graph the linear function , 6x+8y=-32
tankabanditka [31]

So the easiest way to do this is to convert this standard form equation into slope-intercept form, which is y = mx+b (m = slope, b = y-intercept). The slope indicates whether the line is going upwards and downwards and at what rate, and the y-intercept is where the line crosses the y-axis.

Firstly, subtract both sides by 6x: 8y=-6x-32

Next, divide both sides by 8 and your slope-intercept form will be: y=-\frac{2}{3}x-4

So with this equation, since the slope is negative, the line is going downwards. You will graph this line so that when x increases by 3, y decreases by 2 and so that the line passes (0,-4). Here are some of the points on this line to help you:

(0,-4), (3, -6), (6,-8), etc.
