Answer:

A is 10.0 inches.

B is 35 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the answers, we can just multiply our original lengths by our scale factor.

Our original width is 8 inches.

This means that our new width, A, will be our old width multiplied by our scale factor.

So:

A=8(1.25)=10\text{ inches}

Similarly, for our length, our old length is 28 inches. This means that our new length is:

B=28(1.25)=35\text{ inches}

And we're done!

Solve.
y=-x-2
y=4x+3
adelina 88 [10]
1) Equal the two together (not including the ‘y’)

-x -2 = 4x + 3

2) put x together and the whole number together
* when switching sides, signs ( + & -) changes, watch out for that *

-x - 4x = 3 + 2
-5x = 5 divide by the # with x so you have x
—— ——-
-5. -5
x = -1

therefore, x = -1

For y just plug x into either equation
I’ll use y = 4x + 3

y = 4(-1) + 3
y = -4 + 3
y = -1

therefore, y = -1

Is the equation x=-5-y and 2+y=-x+3 coincident, intersecting, or parallel
Paha777 [63]
Well first, you have to get both equations to the y= form
y=mx+b

X=-5-y   add y to x

y+x=-5   then subtract x

y=-x-5     is your equation
_____________________

for the second one:

2+y=-x+3    subtract 2

y=-x+1         is your equation
__________________________
Take both equations and compare:

Both the slopes are the same of -x, so that means the will lines never touch (also because of different y intercept)

So, the answer is parallel.

Factor the polynomial: 3x^4+6^3+9^2
rusak2 [61]

Answer:

3x^4+297

Step-by-step explanation:

First, simplify 6³ and 9².

6³ = 6•6•6 = 36•6 = 216

9² = 9•9 = 81

Add.

3x^4+216+81

3x^4+297

Note:

To make the symbol ², hold the alt button on your keyboard and press 0178 ON THE NUMBERPAD. It MUST be on the numberpad to work! To make the symbol ³, hold the alt button on your keyboard and press 0179 ON THE NUMBERPAD. Again, it MUST be on the numberpad to work! To make the symbol •, hold the alt button on your keyboard and press 7 ON THE NUMBERPAD. Remember, it MUST be on the numberpad to work!
