By the Pythagorean theorem, the missing side is -sqrt7. The definition of sin is side opposite over hypotenuse, so go into Q2 and make an angle and label the side opposite the angle with a 3 and the hypotenuse a 4. The other leg is -sqrt7 cuz x is negative in Q2. The cosine of an angle is the side adjacent over the hypotenuse, so the cos then is -sqrt7/4

So,  all percents can be expressed as *percent*/100
So for this,  it would be 150/100
Then we want to simplify it down and all that jazz.  Find the biggest number that BOTH the numerator AND denominator can be divided by.
In this case,  50.
150/50=3
100/50=2
So now you have 3/2
You might also want a mixed number,  or, a whole number with the leftover fraction after it.
In this case,  see how many times can 2 go into 3 FULLY.
The answer would be 1.  1 is our WHOLE NUMBER.
Then take whatever is left over from 3 and that is our numerator.  Do this,  since 2 can go into 3 ONE time FULLY,  I can say 3-(2*1) is our remainder.
That gives you one as the numerator.  2 is still the denominator.
So a mixed number of 3/2 is 1 1/2
So here is 150% as a fraction:  150/100,  3/2 or 1 1/2.

If you take the 2 top points on the trapezoid and test this, you will see they will not end up the same distance apart.  Currently, they are 3 units apart.

2/3 of 6 = 4 units from the y-axis
2/3 of 3 = 2 units from the y-axis

This new figure would only be 2 units apart on the top.
