Hinduism and Buddhism share some common beliefs, like the idea of reincarnation of the soul. According to both of the beliefs, the body dies but the soul doesn’t. It takes a lot of rebirths before attaining moksha (eternal liberation of the soul).

The two religions also believe that by staying away from any type of attachment one can resist temptation and can find peace within self. The two religions also emphasize the idea of yoga and meditation for achieving a spiritually sound state of the mind.
