The correct answer is: d) global cooling 2.8 million years ago resulted in dry grassland replacing wet forests in parts of Africa.

Coordinated stasis describes that certain groups of species don’t change for tens of millions of years and then experience the rapid extinction and the formation of new species. Coordinated stasis is related to punctuated equilibrium where communities of species closely interact and because of that don’t evolve. Instead of that, they respond to environmental change by moving as a group to a different location.

neonofarm [45]
The muscular system of an organism controls the organism’s muscles. When a hummingbird’s muscular system is affected, the muscles will become weak from a disease and they will potentially die because they will not be able to survive without the strong support of their legs or any other muscle in its body.

Zolol [24]
The concept would be crystallization. As magma cools inside or outside of the earth it crystallizes into an igneous rock. Intrusive (formed inside crust) igneous rocks are typically more course grained and contain many different noticeable minerals (for example, granite). Extrusive (formed outside) igneous rocks are typically more porous and are more fine grained then intrusive rocks (example, obsidian).

natima [27]

Answer:

This is an example of natural selection (adaptation).

Explanation:

Natural selection tends to favor those organisms which are better adapted to live in an environment.

As tortoises having flat shell and long neck were better adapted to live in barren area, hence through natural selection those organisms were favored in such an ecosystem.

As tortoises that lived on the vegetative lands were more adapted to live in such an ecosystem, hence through natural ecosystem these organisms were favored and increased in numbers.

The rain forests of the world trap a large amount of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas. Every year, however, more rain forest is
IrinaVladis [17]

Carbondioxide, being a green house gas has the property of trapping the heat from the sunlight and thus increasing the temperature of the place. As more and more rain forests are cut down and burned, there is an increase in this green house gas in the atmosphere thus leading to a steady increase in the temperatures.

As we look at the graphs that are given, we can see that the graph C shows the steady increase in the temperature as the time passes. Hence option C is the right answer
