Number of bugs on 1st day = 35

Number of bugs on 1st 2nd day = 52

Number of bugs on 3rd day = 69

35,52,69,....

From the above sequence it is clear that the common difference 17 which is constant.

So the given sequence is in AP

Formula for nth term is

a(n)= a1 + (n-1) *d

n = number of terms = 15

d= common difference = 17

a1 = first term = 35

So a(15) = 35 + (15-1)*17

a(15) = 35 + 14(17)

a(15) = 35 + 238

a(15) = 273

So number of bugs on 15th day is 273

The area of the scale model of a garden is 15 square feet. The scale model is enlarged by a scale factor of 3 to create the actu
Musya8 [376]
The scale model of the garden is 15 square feet and the real garden is enlarged by a scale factor of 3.

^ This is all the information you need to solve it. Just broken down and simpler to read.

So knowing that the real garden is 3x the side of the model all we need to do is multiply the scale model by 3 to get the real model. 15x3=45 square feet.

The answer is 45 square feet.
I hope this helps please mark brainliest if this helped.

A box contains 146 marbles which are either red or blue. there are 28 more blue marbles than red marbles. how many blue marbles
rusak2 [61]
R + b = 146. Supposing that b=r+28,

r + (r+28) = 146, or 2r + 28 = 146.

Simplifying: 2r = 118. Then r = 59, and b = r+28 = 59+28 = 87 blue marbles

Solve the system of equations.
3x + y = 3
x + y = 2
qwelly [4]
When solving system equations, we can use substitution method or elimination. Today I'm using substitution method.

First name the 2 equations.
3x + y = 3 (1)
x + y = 2 (2)

Now pick one equation and express one algebra in forms of the other.
From (2),
x = 2 - y (3)

Now substitute (3) into (1),
3(2-y) + y = 3
6 - 3y + y = 3
6 - 2y = 3
6 - 3 = 2y
y = 1.5

Now substitute y = 1.5 into (2)
x + 1. 5 = 2
x = 2 - 1.5
x = 0.5

Therefore the answer is x = 0.5 and y = 1.5

How did the tempicher change if at first it increased by 5% and then increased by 20 percent
tensa zangetsu [6.8K]

Answer:

Increasing a number by 5% and then by 20% is the same as increasing the original number by 26%.

Step-by-step explanation:

Take a number, x.

Now increase it by 5%.

1.05x

Now increase it by 20%.

1.2 * 1.05x = 1.26x

1.26x = 126% of x = 100% of x + 26% of x

100% of x is the same as x, so it is the same as the original x.

The increase is 26% of the original number.

Increasing a number by 5% and then by 20% is the same as increasing the original number by 26%.
