Answer:

  • At equilibrium, the quantity of a commodity demanded is the same as the quantity of that commodity supplied. i.e. QD = QS. The price at which QD = QS is the equilibrium price.
  • When there is a shortage, the quantity of goods demanded would be greater than quantity supplied, as the price falls below the equilibrium price. i.e. QD>QS
  • When there is surplus, the quantity of goods demanded is less than the quantity supplied, as price increases above the equilibrium price. i.e. QD<QS.

For example, in the table showing the demand and supply schedule for T shirt at different prices (see file attached), the equilibrium price for a unit of T shirt is $3, at equilibrium, QD = QS (i.e. 30 = 30).

A shortage is recorded when the price of T shirt falls below equilibrium price of $3 as shortage of T shirt is recorded, i.e. @ $2, QD>QS (40>20). A shortage of 20 is recorded.

Surplus occurs as price increases above equilibrium price of which QD<QD, i.e. @ $4, a surplus of 20 is recorded.

uranmaximum [27]

Answer: option D

Explanation:

Although they can be in constant lateral motion. The lipid bilayer membrane is so organized in the sense that the hydrophilic heads which might contain some polar or molecules that can mix with water faces both the cytosol and the outer environment while the hydrophobic tails of both layers that are entirely insoluble in water faces one another thus forming a core that repels mixing. This it is very rare for the possibilities molecules to flip.

Answer: True

Explanation:

Mucociliary streaming is the process of the cleaning mechanism of the respiratory passage. It is one of the protective process that protects the respiratory passage from the effect of the particles of dust and pathogens before they reach up to the delicate lung tissues. This process maintains the pulmonary hygiene.

This takes the advantage of cleaning up the cilia present in the respiratory tract, this process penetrates the mucous layer of the cilia by wave-like motion. The cilia trap the large and small particles. The instrument used for this purpose moves at a speed of 6 to 20mm per minute. This helps in cleaning up of the cilia along with the mucous.
