Answer:

  3 : 4 ratio of radii

  9 : 16 ratio of areas

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of radii is the same as the ratio of diameters:

  one : the other = 6 :8 = 3 : 4

__

The ratio of areas is the square of the ratio of radii:

  one : the other = 3² : 4² = 9 : 16

Solve The Linear Equation for the stated variable.
larisa [96]

Answer:

m=\frac{g}{4c-3}

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

g=4cm-3m

Solve for m

That means-----> isolate the variable m

Factor the variable m in the equation

g=m[4c-3]

Divide by (4c-3) both sides

\frac{g}{4c-3}=m

Rewrite

m=\frac{g}{4c-3}

F(x) = x2 – 2x - 8
maw [93]

Answer:

The y-intercept is the point (0,-8)

see the attached figure

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

f(x)=x^{2}-2x-8

we know that

The y-intercept is the value of the function f(x) when the value of x is equal to zero

so

For x=0

f(x)=0^{2}-2(0)-8\\f(x)=-8

therefore

The y-intercept is the point (0,-8)

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

What is the equation if x=1 and y=16/3
GaryK [48]
There may be more than one way in which to answer this question.  I will assume that the "equation" is a linear one:  f(x) = mx + b.

Then (16/3) = m(1) + b
This is one equation in two unknowns, so it does not have a unique solution.  Was there more to this problem than you have shared?

If we assume that the y-intercept (b) is zero, then y = mx, and

16/3 = 1m, so that m = 16/3, and so   y = (16/3)x.
