Answer:

-37,-32,-27,-22,-17,-12,-7,-2,3,8,\\13,18,23,28,33,38,43,48,53,58\\63,68,73,78,83,88,93,98,103,108\\113,118,123,128,133,138,143,148,153,158\\163,168,173,178,183,188,193,198,203,208,\\213,218,223,228,233,238,243,248,253,258

Step-by-step explanation:

The nth term of an arithmetic sequence is obtained using the formula:

a_n=a+(n-1)d

Given that: a_5=23$ and a_{20}=98.

a_n=a+(n-1)d

a_5=23=a+(5-1)d \implies a+4d=23\\a_{20}=98=a+(20-1)d \implies a+19d=98\\$We solve simultaneously$:\\a+19d=98\\a+4d=23\\15d=75\\d=5\\Recall:a+4d=23\\a+4(15)=23\\a=23-60\\a=-37

Therefore, the first 60 terms of the sequence are:

-37,-32,-27,-22,-17,-12,-7,-2,3,8,\\13,18,23,28,33,38,43,48,53,58\\63,68,73,78,83,88,93,98,103,108\\113,118,123,128,133,138,143,148,153,158\\163,168,173,178,183,188,193,198,203,208,\\213,218,223,228,233,238,243,248,253,258

Cos sec² a - cot²a=1
alex41 [277]

Answer:

We want to prove the relation:

cosec(a)^2 - cot(a)^2 = 1

where:

cosec(a) = 1/sin(a)

cot(a) = 1/tg(a) = cos(a)/sin(a)

We can start with the relationship:

cos(a)^2 + sin(a)^2 = 1

Now, let's divide by sin(a)^2 in both sides:

(cos(a)^2 + sin(a)^2)/sin(a)^2 = 1/sin(a)^2

cos(a)^2/sin(a)^2 + sin(a)^2/sin(a)^2 = (1/sin(a))^2

(cos(a)/sin(a))^2 + 1 = (1/sin(a))^2

and remember that:

cosec(a) = 1/sin(a)

cot(a) = 1/tg(a) = cos(a)/sin(a)

Then we can write:

(cos(a)/sin(a))^2 + 1 = (1/sin(a))^2

as:

cot(a)^2 + 1 = cosec(a)^2

1 = cosec(a)^2 - cot(a)^2

And this is the relation we wanted to prove.

For what values of a and b does a - b = b - a?
Deffense [45]

how can a+b=0?

is a+b=0 a single word followed by the question mark ? the sentence is not complete if “a+b=0” is the subject, it’s like: how can cat?

is the sentence rather: how can a+b be equal to 0 ( meaning zero) ? in that case, supposing we are talking of the usual sum of two elements of an additive group : how can the sum of a and b, written a+b, can be equal to zero, then this seems more like a question about what powers do have any two elements of a group to, by association through addition, to obtain a zero value. Like “how can my brother and me get one of these chocolates ?”

Now, in your question, maybe a and b are not any two elements of said group but elements well identified before,

suppose you know a is 1 and b is -1 for instance. Then how can 1–1=0? is a very good question : it marvels at the fact that the addition does what it is supposed to do. Lots of things don’t, and lots of people take it for granted that things do what they are supposed to de, like speeds add up, etc.

let’s suppose for example, a is 1 and b is 2.

Then your question is very justified : how can 1+2 be equal to 0 ? it’s a scandal, either the computer is broken, or my mind is , and if anywhere in the world 1+2 =0, there is something wrong with the world.

Hope this helps!! - Maddy

You’re gonna “distribute” the 7 into the parentheses by multiplying the 7 by the numbers inside the parentheses
