Answer:

x=2.52

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we must isolate x on one side of the equation. To start, we take away 17.56 on the right side of the equation. What ever we do to one side we must to the other side. Subtract 17.56 from BOTH sides of the equation. now we are left with 12.60=5x. We still have to get x completely by itself. To do this, we divide 5 on both sides of the equation. The reason why we divide is because we have 5 times x, or just 5x. The opposite of multiplying is dividing; if we divide, the x will isolate and the 5 will cancel out. We are now left with 2.52=x. To prove that the answer is x=2.52, let's substitute x for 2.52 in the original equation: 30.16=17.56+5(2.52). The final answer we get is 30.16=30.16. This proves that x=2.52 is correct for this equation.

Hope this helps :)

First subtract 17.56 to each side
12.6 = 5x
Divide by 5 to each side
2.52 = x

Complete the coordinate proof of the theorem. Given: A B C D is a rectangle. Prove: The diagonals of A B C D are congruent.
Inessa05 [86]

Step-by-step explanation:

Given coordinates of the rectangle ABCD:

 • A(0, 0), B(a, 0), C(x, y), D(0, b)

Lets first find coordinates of C

We can see that A and B are on same line horizontally, so C and D will be on the parallel line

The distance AB and CD are equal also distance AD and BC are equal, therefore

 • AB = a - 0 = a, CD = a
 • AD = b - 0 = b, BC = b

So the coordinates of C are:

 • x = a, y = b

Now the diagonals:

 • AC = √(a-0)² + (b-0)² = √a²+b²
 • BD =√(0-a)² + (b -0)² = √a² + b²

Since AC = BD, we can state they are congruent

podryga [215]

Your answer is A

It cannot be C because the line y > -2 uses the (>) greater than symbol.

When equations have a greater than symbol, they are graphed using a dotted line.

It cannot be D because the line is y ≤ - l x-1 l

with the less than or equal to sign (≤) , you use a solid line to graph

With the greater than symbol for y > -2 , the shaded region must be above this line.

With the less than or equal to sign in y ≤ - l x-1 l , the shaded region must be below the line.
