Answer:

(2-x,-4-12y) coordinates of other end points.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

Let A be the end point whose coordinates which are given and B the other end point which  co ordinates needs to be find.

Coordinates of point A (x_1,y_1)= (x+4,12y)

Coordinates of point A (x_2,y_2= need to be find

Midpoint of Line segment AB = (3,-2)

Midpoint of Line segment = (\frac{x_1+x_2}{2})(\frac{y_1+y_2}{2})

Solving for x we get ,

\frac{x+4+x_2}{2}= 3\\\\x+4+x_2=6\\x_2=6-4-x\\x_2=2-x

Solving for y we get ,

\frac{12y+y_2}{2}= -2\\\\12y+y_2=-4\\y_2=-4-12y

Hence (2-x,-4-12y) coordinates of other end points.

9. Write an equation parallel to y = 2x + 4that<br> passes through the point (-4,-1).
sasho [114]

Answer:y=2x+7

Step-by-step explanation:

so for the new equation, we know the slope is going to be the same (because its parallel) so for starters we have y=2x+b so now in order to find b (the y-intercept) we have to plug the point into the equation. So it would look like -1=2(-4)+b and then you solve for b and get 7 for b. SO the final answer is y=2x+7.

Jack buys a bag of 5 apples each equal in size he eat 1/2 of one Apple what fraction did he eat
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]
You have 4\frac{1}{2} apples left.
You have 5 whole apples, you took one whole apple out, which equals 4 whole apples left. Then with the whole apple you took out, you ate \frac{1}{2} of it.
Jack ate \frac{1}{2} of an apple in 5 apples.
If you say that Jack ate \frac{1}{2} of 3 apples, then he ate 1\frac{1}{2} apples. So there isn't any difference when he ate \frac{1}{2} of an apple.
