Answer:

The process through which the water moves inside these cell is called osmosis.

Explanation:

 • The one-celled organisms have some structures called contractile vacuoles which help them to remove excess of water from their body.
 • The water enters in the body through osmomis.
 • Osmosis is the movement or transfer of water or other solvent through a plasma membrane from a region of low solute concentration to a region of high solute concentration, by which equal concentration is achived on the both sides. Osmosis is passive transport which means it does not require any energy.
 • There is high solute(cell organels in this case) concentration inside the cell and low solute concentration in surrounding water and hence water enters inside the cell.
 • It is necessary to expel excess of water from the cell as if the water is not expled from the body then water will continuously enter inside the cell as a result of which the cell will burst(same as raisins burst in water when they are kept for too long).
 • The concentration of salt water is similar to the concentration of the cell hence contractile vacuoles has a little value in the ocean (salt water).

Result: the process of movement of water or other solvent through a plasma membrane from a region of low solute concentration to a region of high solute concentration is known as osmosis.

describe two alternative photosynthesis pathways found in plants suggest how how these adaptions might help plants
klio [65]

a. Sugar cane, corn, carbgrass which are identified as C4 Plants allow fixation of carbon dioxide into four carbon compounds. This happens during the hottest time of the day - their so-called stomata gets partially closed. C4 plants have been identified to lose only half of the water that C3 plants lose when they produce the similar amount of carbs.

b.CAM PATHWAY - Plants such as pineapples and cactus have different approach to adapting heat. Carbon is fixed through a cam pathway. They use it to open their stomata at night and close it in the morning.

The ability of water to hold more heat than land keeps the temperature on earth moderate

If the oceans didn't hold large amounts of heat, then the Earth would probably overheat which would cause many problems for all life forms.

Ivenika [448]
The deer population would drastically be reduced with the slower rate of reproduction and predators that would kill more deer than can reproduce. The environment would likely also have a reduced population of predators for deer, since the food source is reduced.
