Biochemical cycles are an intricate factor for life on earth. They provide consumers and producers with the components they need

to live and grow. To a
complex ecosystem such as Earth, environmental changes such as an increase in greenhouse gases can have dramatic effects. However, not all
biochemical cycles are affected equally by such changes.
Which major cycle is LEAST negatively influenced by an increase in greenhouse gases and why?
A.Carbon cycle, because the greenhouse gas is the major component of the carbon cycle.
B.Phosphorus cycle, because it is a biogeochemical cycle and does not involve the atmosphere.
C.Oxygen cycle, because oxygen can buffer greenhouse gases by binding to it and converting it with hydrogen to water.
D.Nitrogen cycle, because the atmosphere already has very low amounts of nitrogen, and greenhouse gas converts nitrogen into nitric
oxide.

Answer No 1:

A concentration gradient can be described as a phenomenon by which molecules travels from an area which is highly concentrated to an area which has low concentrations of that molecule.

Answer No 2:

A molecule is said to be diffusing down a concentration gradient when molecule acquire the phenomenon of concentration gradient i.e move from higher concentration to lower concentration. This mechanism is also termed as passive transport. Active transport is the opposite of passive transport. In active transport, molecules move against the concentration gradient i.e from an area of lower concentration to an area of higher concentration.
