What do you do? You save it for leftovers. So, is it better for your mom to make too much food, or too little, and you not have enough to eat? Obviously, too much, because you can keep it for later.

Same with the garden. If you don't have enough, then you can't fill it all in. But if you have too much, then you can keep the extra.
