I am sorry but I do not see the underlined digit, but I will put it this way. 7 in the thousands place is worth 7000, 2 in the hundreds place is worth 200, 7 in the tens place is worth 70, and 0 in the ones place is worth 0.

Hope this helped!

Suppose that we are testing a coin to see if it is fair, so our hypotheses are: H0: p = 0.5 vs Ha: p ≠ 0.5. In each of (a) and (
aleksley [76]

Answer:

H_0: p = 0.5\\H_a: p \neq 0.5

a. We get 56 heads out of 100 tosses.

We will use one sample proportion test

x = 56

n = 100

\widehat{p}=\frac{x}{n}

\widehat{p}=\frac{56}{100}

\widehat{p}=0.56

Formula of test statistic =\frac{\widehat{p}-p}{\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}}}

                                       =\frac{0.56-0.5}{\sqrt{\frac{0.5(1-0.5)}{100}}}

                                       =1.2

refer the z table for p value

p value = 0.8849

We will use one sample proportion test

x = 560

n = 1000

\widehat{p}=\frac{x}{n}

\widehat{p}=\frac{560}{1000}

\widehat{p}=0.56

Formula of test statistic =\frac{\widehat{p}-p}{\sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}}}

                                       =\frac{0.56-0.5}{\sqrt{\frac{0.5(1-0.5)}{1000}}}

p value of part B is less than Part A because part B have 10 times the number the tosses.

In a class of 50 students, everyone has either a pierced nose or a pierced ear. The professor asks everyone with a pierced nose
Tems11 [23]

Answer:  3

Step-by-step explanation:

Let E be the event of that student pierces ear and N be the event of that student pierces nose.

Given: n(E\cup N=50)

n(E)=46\\\\n(N)=7

For any two event A and B, we have

n(A\cup B)=n(A)+n(B)-n(A\cap B)

Similarly , n(E\cup N)=n(E)+n(N)-n(E\cap N)

50=46+7-n(E\cap N)\\\\\Rightarrow\ n(E\cap N)=53-50=3

Hence, 3 students have piercings both on their ears and their noses.

Let s represent the cost of sandwich

Cost of pretzels = 1.50 dollars

The point (x, y) is proportional to the point (2, 5). Select all the true statements.
Mnenie [13.5K]

Step-by-step explanation:

(x, y) is a solution to y = 5/2X

(x, y) is a solution to y=x+3.

The ratio of Y/X is equivalent to 5/2

Point (x, y) is the same point as (5, 2).

A straight line through points (2, 5) and (x, y) will pass through the origin.
