Answer:

The effective (rms) current when the circuit is in resonance is 6 A

Explanation:

Given;

resistance of the resistor, R = 20 ohms

capacitance of the capacitor, C = 0.75 microfarads

inductance of the inductor, L =  0.12 H

effective rms voltage, V_{rms} = 120

At resonance, the impedance Z = R, Since the capacitive reactance (Xc) is equal to inductive reactance (XL).

The effective (rms) current, = V_{rms} / R

                                              = 120 / 20

                                              = 6 A

Therefore, the effective (rms) current when the circuit is in resonance is 6 A

Answer:

physics and math tutor

Save my exams

Explanation:

hii! for PTM(physics and math tutor) you simply type in the search bar for example in. physics Units and measurements past papers.Then the first option would be PTM(physics and math tutor) and you click on it and it would give you on the left side Revision Notes, flashcards and practice questions. This site has helped me so much and I hope this helps you too (by the way PTM has for all 3 sciences and math too) just simply type the lesson name along with past paper and click on the first link and you'll get yourself your answers!!!! hopefully this helps!:))

4. A family leaves from New York City and is flying to Los Angles which is 2800mi away. It takes
Blizzard [7]

The average speed of the whole travel is equal to 400 mph.

Why?

From the statement, we know that whole travel is divided into three parts. For the first part (traveling from New York to Chicago), we have that it was 3.25 hours and the covered distance was half of the total distance (1400mi). For the second part, we have that it was 1 hour (layover time), and the covered no distance. For the third part (traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles), we have that it was 2.75 hours, and it took the other half of the total distance (1400mi).

We can calculate the average speed of the whol travel using the following formula:

AverageSpeed=\frac{distance_{1}+distance_{2}+distance_{3}}{time_{1}+time{2}+time_{3}}

Now, substituting and calculating, we have:

AverageSpeed=\frac{1400mi+0mi+1400mi}{3.25h+1h+2.75h}

AverageSpeed=\frac{2800mi}{7h}=400mph

Hence, we have the average speed of the whole travel is equal to 400 mph.

Have a nice day!

A train accelerates from a station with a = 1.841m/s ? Upon reaching a speed of 23.52m/s the train travels at a constant velocit
scZoUnD [109]

Answer:

63.29s

Explanation:

Firstly calculate the time taken to reach 23.52m/s

;use the formula...v = u + at

23.52 = 0 + 1.841t

then obtain...t = 12.78s

Then calculate the time for the last part of the journey...where the train slows down...

use the formula that is above...

0 = 23.52 - 2t...(negative for deceleration)

then obtain....t = 11.76s

Then we know that the total area under the graph of u against t..is equal to 1200m

For the first triangle(first part of the journey...where the train accelerates)

(23.52 × 12.78)÷2 = 150.3m

Then for the constant velocity part...a rectangle...

23.52 × f.....where f represents the time taken by the train having constant velocity.

...= 23.52fm

Then for the last part of the journey...the deceleration part..a triangle

(23.52 × 11.76)÷ 2 = 138.3m

Then....we add all the obtained distances and equate to 1200m so that we can obtain time (f)

138.3 + 150.3 + 23.52f = 1200

where f = 38.75s

Then total time for the whole journey of the train...

38.75 + 11.76 + 12.78

;Ans = 63.29s
