What is the minimum number of nanocontainers that a person would need in their bloodstream to provide 1 hour's worth of oxygen?
Elanso [62]

I did some research and found that the average human requires 550 L of oxygen per day which means that :

(550 L O2 / day) x (1 day / 24 hours) = 22.9166667 L O2 / hour or 22916.67 mL O2 / hour

1 mL = 1 cm^3

22916.67 mL O2 / hour = 22916.67 cm^3 O2 / hour

Now convert that volume from cm^3 to nm^3

22916.67 cm^3 O2 / hour = 2.29167x10^25 nm^3 O2 / hour

So for 1 hour’s worth of O2, we need a volume of 2.29167x10^25 nm^3

What evidence must be considered when determining whether or not a trait is an adaptation
Rashid [163]

Answer:

An adaptation can be viewed as a trait that emerged and developed for a certain condition so as to increases the organism changes of survival or fitness.

For a trait to be called adaptive, it must have had a positive influence but not majorly a trait that develops in reaction to a certain selection pressure.

Categorically, a trait is seen as adaptation if it is the aftermath of selection, and adaptive if it is of favourable influence at the existing time.
