A good example would be heating a tin can of water using a Bunsen burner. Initially the flame produces radiation which heats the tin can. The tin can then transfers heat to the water through conduction. The hot water then rises to the top, in the convection process. The atmosphere would be another example.

Radiation can be defined as the emission or transmission of energy in the form of waves through material medium or in space.

This includes radio waves, visible light, x-rays, gamma radiation, electromagnetic radiation.

The heat transfer in the atmosphere is an example of heat transfer by radiation.

This method is used by science to treat many problems like in case of surgery and other methods to cure some medical conditions.

Explain five important things that can be determined by studying fossils.
Naddik [55]
Studying fossils allowed researchers to learn about organisms that lived long ago. The fossils provide as evolutionary evidence that shows how organisms in our present time have evolved over time and which common ancestors they are tied to. Fossils also provide information about climate change depending on the region and location they are found in. Fossils also date back to millenias ago, so fossils dated very far back in the past can help researchers infer that life had existed even farther than what they might have discovered. And finally, by studying fossils, you can determine how the organism may have died.
