Answer:

M∩N = { }

Step-by-step explanation:

We have the two sets:

M={ } , N={6,7,8,9,10}

We have to find the intersection of these two sets.

The intersection of two sets is the set which contains the elements of both sets(common elements). We can denote it as M∩N

Every set contains an empty set.

In the given sets we can find the intersection as:

M = { } , N={6,7,8,9,10}

M∩N = { } ....

In the distribution, the first quartile,median and mean are 30.8,48.5 and 42.0 respectively. If the co efficient skewness is -0.
finlep [7]

Answer:

The third quartile is 56.45

Step-by-step explanation:

The given parameters are;

The first quartile, Q₁ = 30.8

The median or second quartile, Q₂ = 48.5

The mean, \bar x = 42.0

Coefficient of skewness = -0.38

The Bowley's coefficient of skewness (SK) is given as follows;

SK = \dfrac{Q_3 + Q_1 - 2 \times Q_2}{Q_3 - Q_1}

Plugging in the values, we have;

-0.38 = \dfrac{Q_3 + 30.8 - 2 \times 48.5}{Q_3 - 30.8}

Which gives;

-0.38×(Q₃ - 30.8) = Q₃ + 30.8 - 2 × 48.5

11.704 - 0.38·Q₃ = Q₃ - 66.2

1.38·Q₃ = 11.704 + 66.2 =  77.904

Q₃ = 56.45

The third quartile = 56.45.

nancy and lisa played 20 sets of tennis. nancy won 12 of them. write the ratio of nancy's wins to the total number of sets in si
kirill [66]

Total play = 20

Nancy win = 12

Ratio would be: 12/20 = 6/10 = 3/5

So, your answer is 3/5

Please help! I’m very confused on this question. I’m not very good at geometry.
Ahat [919]

Well, to find the perimeter we have to add all of the side lengths, so let's do that:

2x+3 +2x+3 +2x

And we know that this equals 36 so let's solve for x

2x+3+2x+3+2x = 36

6x+6 = 36

6x = 30

x = 5

So we know know that x = 5.

Now all you have to do is plug in the values of x into the lengths

2(5) + 3

= 10+3

= 13 is the length of two of the sides.

2x

= 2(5)

= 10

And 10 is the length of the last side.

A population of mice is increasing exponentially. On Monday there were 120 most. One month later there were 132 most. Ready func
djyliett [7]

Answer:

y=120 * 1.1^x --- function

The monthly rate is 10%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Let

x \to months

y \to mice

So, we have:

(x_1,y_1) = (0,120) --- Monday

(x_2,y_2) = (1,132) --- One month later

Required

The function

The function is represented as:

y=ab^x

In (x_1,y_1) = (0,120), we have:

120 = a * b^0

120 = a * 1

120 = a

a=120

In (x_2,y_2) = (1,132), we have:

132 = a * b^1

132 = a * b

Substitute: a=120

132 = 120 * b

Solve for b

b = \frac{132}{120}

b = 1.1

So, the function is:

y=ab^x

y=120 * 1.1^x

To calculate the monthly rate (r), we have:

y =a(1 + r)^x

Compare to: y =ab^x

1 + r = b

Make r the subject

r = b-1

Substitute b = 1.1

r = 1.1-1

r = 0.1

Express as percentage

r = 0.1*100\%

r = 10\%
