Answer:

\frac{1}{8}  \: and \:  \frac{2}{3}

\frac{1 \times 3}{24} and \:  \frac{16}{24}

\frac{3}{24}  +  \frac{16}{24}  =  \frac{19}{24}

\frac{24}{24}  -  \frac{19}{24}  =  \frac{5}{24}

5/24 this is his leftovers

A sheet of glass has a density of 2.5 g/cm3. what is the density of the glass in kg/m3
asambeis [7]

Answer:

this is ez

Step-by-step explanation:

2.5 g converted to kg: 2.5 g x 1 kg/1000 g = 0.0025 kg = 2.5x10-3 kg

cm3 converted to m3: 1 cm3 x 10-6 m3/cm3 = 1x10-6 m3

Thus, the conversion of 2.5 g/cm3 to kg/m3 would be 2.5x10-3 kg/10-6 m3 = 2.5x103 kg/m3 = 2500 kg/m3

Suppose a basketball player has made 390 out of 434 free throws. If the player makes the next 2 free throws, I will pay you $40.
alukav5142 [94]

Answer: a) -$0.19, b) -$111.72 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of free throws = 434

Number of throws made by them = 390

Amount for making the next 2 free throws = $40

Amount otherwise he has to pay = $169

a) Find the expected value of the proposition.

Expected value of success in next 2 free throws = \dfrac{390}{434}\times \dfrac{391}{435}=0.8077

Expected value would be

0.8077\times 40+(1-0.8077)\times -169\\\\=32.308-32.4987\\\\=-\$0.19

b)  If you played this game 588 times how much would you expect to win or lose?

Number of times they played the game = 588

So, Expected value would be

588\times -0.19\\\\=-\$111.72

Hence, a) -$0.19, b) -$111.72

Help Review of linear pair vertical and complementary
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

x = 15

Step-by-step explanation:

The two angles form a straight line so they add to 180 degrees

3+6x   + 5x+12 = 180

Combine like terms

11x+15 = 180

Subtract 15 from each side

11x+15-15 =180-15

11x = 165

Divide by 11

11x/11 =165/11

x =15
