58 DAYS, WITH EACH DAY BEING 24 HOURS, EQUALS HOW MANY HOURS TOTAL RIGHT
58/1 * 24/1
THE DAYS CANCEL EACH OTHERS OUT, LEAVING 1,392 HOURS
30/1 * 1/60
THE MINUTES CANCEL EACH OTHERS OUT AND 30/60 IS SIMPLIFIED TO HALF AN HOUR
FINALLY YOU ADD 1,392+15+0.5 TO GET A FINAL RESULTS OF 1,407.5 HOURS

number 1 is 1407.5 hours because 58*24 = 1392 then you add 15 hours which would make it equal 1407 then add 30 min and convert the whole thing into hours so there for the answer is 1407.5 hours

From first principles, find the indicated derivatives
LenaWriter [7]

By definition of the derivative,

\displaystyle\frac{dr}{ds} = \lim_{h\to0} \frac{\left(\frac{(s + h)^3}2 + 1\right) - \left(\frac{s^3}2 + 1\right)}{h}

\displaystyle\frac{dr}{ds} = \lim_{h\to0} \frac{\left(\frac{s^3+3s^2h+3sh^2+h^3}2 + 1\right) - \left(\frac{s^3}2 + 1\right)}{h}

\displaystyle\frac{dr}{ds} = \lim_{h\to0} \frac{\frac{3s^2h+3sh^2+h^3}2}{h}

\displaystyle\frac{dr}{ds} = \lim_{h\to0} \frac12 \frac{3s^2h+3sh^2+h^3}{h}

\displaystyle\frac{dr}{ds} = \lim_{h\to0} \frac12 (3s^2+3sh+h^2)

\displaystyle\frac{dr}{ds} = \frac{3s^2}2

The sum of three consecutive numbers is 537. What is the 3rd number?
maks197457 [2]

For this problem your equation will be x+(x+1)+(x+2)=537

Multiply and Simplify:

x+x+1+x+2=537

3x+3=537

Subtract 3 from both sides:

3x+3-3=537-3

3x=534

Divide both sides by 3:

3x/3=537/3

x=179

179 is the middle number so: 178+179+180=537

180 is the third number.
