13. Simple problem when you divide a fraction by another you multiply by its inverse not by the same.

So 3x-12/x^2-9x+20 divided by 9x+54/x^2+x-30
Should be: 3x-12/x^2-9x+20 * x^2+x-30/9x+54
Now you can simplify it.
3(x-4)/(x-4)(x-5) * (x+6)(x-5)/9(x+6)
Or 3/(x-5) * (x-5)/9
Or 3/1 * 1/9
Or 3/9 = 1/3

Find the area enclosed by the figure
Korvikt [17]

Answer:

2677 mi^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Think the shape as an complete rectangle :

The area of the rectangle is calcluated by multiplying height*width

(24+12+19)*55 = 3025 mi^2 now subtract the area of the missing part using same area calculation method:

12*29 = 348 mi^2 the area of the figure:

3025 - 348 = 2677 mi^2

If f(x)=2x+1,then f(-2)=
Sonja [21]

Answer: -3

Explanation: In this problem, we're given the function f(x) = 2x + 1 and we're asked to find f(-2).

To find f(-2) or the value of the function or the value of the function when <em>x = -2</em>, we simply substitute -2 in for <em>x</em> in our function.

So we have f(-2) = 2(-2) + 1 or -4 + 1 which equals -3.

So f(-2) or the value of the function when x = -3 is -3.

Rewrite the expression in the form y^ny n y, start superscript, n, end superscript. \dfrac{1}{y^{^{\scriptsize\dfrac54}}}= y 4 5
just olya [345]

Answer:

The expression can be rewritten in y^n form as following:

⇒  y^{-\frac{5}{4}}

where n=-\frac{5}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given expression:

\dfrac{1}{y^{^{\scriptsize\dfrac54}}}

To rewrite the expression in the form of y^n.

Solution:

By property of exponents :

\frac{1}{x^a}=x^{-a}

<em>So, we can apply this property to the given expression.</em>

We have:

\dfrac{1}{y^{^{\scriptsize\dfrac54}}}

⇒  y^{-\frac{5}{4}}

The above expression is in the form of y^n where n=-\frac{5}{4}
