I don't believe a novelist must remain detached. It depends on what you are writing. But in some genres the writer has to stay out of the story and keep his or her personal beliefs from interfering with the characters' voices.

2. True or false: Comic relief is only found in comedies. (1 point)
Rasek [7]
It is false that comic relief is only found in comedies. Comic relief refers to funny sentences or events in an overall serious or dramatic play/novel so as to lighten up the mood. This type of technique is usually used in tragedies, quite ironically, even though people often think that comedies have more of it. Hope this helps. Essential question: what is relationship between power and freedom? What has this speech taught you about power and freedom?
jekas [21]
The relationship between power and freedom is that they are both centered around feeling accomplished and dealing with the privileges of freedom or power and how having one or the other goes to show the socioeconomic status of the person who has it. Freedom and power are interconnected to give one the idea of importance and the effects of believing a cause and how this can result in either power or freedom.

No one must travel alone in the Klondike after fifty degrees below zero. I would say this is the main lesson to learn about this Jack London story which shows that nature can be cruel and unforgiving and at 50 degrees below zero it is nothing to fool with. If there are two people, one can help the other and warn say of snow which may fall down and douse the fire and also both can have matches to start a fire and they can discuss the best course of action in any situation which presents itself such as trusting the ice not to break over a creek for example.
