PLZ HELP!!! Use the investigation set up below to write a conclusion statement for what is happening to the liquid. Choose the b

est answer. A. When the heat was increased the liquid molecules contracted and decreased in volume. B. There is not enough information to determine the conclusion to the investigation. C. When the heat was decreased the liquid molecules began to move faster. D. When the heat was increased the liquid molecules expanded and increased in volume. PS its D. I solved it myself because nobody answered it...

When we start heating to the given liquid the molecules absorbed energy and the average kinetic energy of each molecues present in liquid increased.

As the kinetic energy of molecules increases the molecules started to moves and the atraction force among the molecules decreased as a result the volume of liquid increased.

Hence option D correct explanation for given liquid.

D. When the heat was increased the liquid molecules expanded and increased in volume

In order to solve this, we need to make use of Hess' Law.

We are already given the equations and their corresponding deltaH. Using Hess' Law, we can generate this equation:
104 kJ = x - (-1182 kJ) - (-1144 kJ)

Among the choices, the answer is
<span>B.104 = x - [(-1182) + (-1144)]

The table shows the electronegativity values of four unknown elements on the Pauling scale.
lys-0071 [83]

Answer:

X and Z

Explanation:

If the difference in electronegativity between two atoms is greater than 1.7, they will form an ionic bond.

W and Z: 3.2 - 1.5 = 1.7  no

X and Z: 3.2 - 0.93 = 2.27 yes

Y and Z: 3.2 - 2.0 = 1.2  no

W and Y: 2.0 - 1.5 = 0.5  no

X and Y: 2.0 - 0.93 = 1.07  no

W and X: 1.5 - 0.93 = 0.57  no

X and Z are most likely to form an ionic bond together.

Hope this helps.

Using a thin stationary phase supported by an inert backing, thin layer chromatography (TLC) is a chromatographic technique used to separate the components of a mixture.

It can be carried out on an analytical scale to track the development of a reaction or on a preparative scale to purify minute quantities of a chemical. Because of its simplicity, comparatively low cost, great sensitivity, and rapid separation, TLC is an extensively used analytical method. Similar to all chromatography, TLC works on the premise that a chemical will have varying affinities for the mobile and stationary phases, which will influence how quickly it migrates. TLC aims to produce well-defined, well-separated spots.
