N-31/4 =2 simple equation
Zanzabum

Answer:

n = 5.75

Step-by-step explanation:

original equation

n - 31/4 = 2

multiply everything by 4

n * 4 - 31/4 * 4 = 2 * 4

simplify

4n - 31 = 8

add 31 to both sides

4n - 31 + 31 = 8 + -31

simplify

4n = -23

divide both sides by 4

4n/4 = -23/4

simplify

n = 5.75

What are compatible number of 7233 divided by 84
valkas [14]
To me, do the math using compatible number, means to estimate
7233 can round to 8000
and 84 can round to 80
now, this makes it easy, you can do it mentally, which is 100

In more detailed,
7233 can round to 7225
and 84 can round to 85
then, (not so obvious, but however) 85 times 85 equal 7225

so the compatible number of 7233 divided by 84, is 7225 and 85

I know it's a bit late, but hope it helps

Lengths of segments
mina [271]

Answer:

Triangles:

10 m, 21 m, 29 m

10 m, 29 m, 37 m

Not triangles:

10 m, 14 m, 29 m

10 m, 29 m, 40 m

Step-by-step explanation:

For a triangle to exist, the sum of any two sides of a triangle must be greater than that of the third side.

Let us check each of the options.

Option 1: 10 m, 14 m, 29 m

The sum of lengths 10 m and 14 m must be greater than 29 m.

10 + 14 = 24 < 29

So, this is not a triangle.

Option 2: 10 m, 21 m, 29 m

10 + 21 = 31 > 29

21 + 29 = 50 > 10

29 + 10 = 39 > 21

Therefore, it is a triangle.

Option 3: 10 m, 29 m, 37 m

10 + 29 = 39 > 37

29 + 37 = 66 > 10

37 + 10 = 47 > 29

Therefore, it is a triangle.

Option 4: 10 m, 29 m, 40 m

10 + 29 =39 < 40

So, this is not a triangle.

The figure shows two parallel lines AB and DE cut by the transversals AE and BD: AB and DE are parallel lines and AE and BD are
Alik [6]

Answer: Triangle ABC is similar to triangle EDC because Measure of angle 3 equals measure of angle 4 and Measure of angle 1 equals measure of angle 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: AB \parallel DE,  AE\cap BD = C

Where AE and BD are the common transversals of parallel lines AB and DE,

Also, Angle CAB is labeled 1, angle ABC is labeled 2, angle ACB is labeled 3, angle DCE is labeled 4, angle CDE is labeled 6, and angle CED is labeled 5.

Thus,   \angle 3 \cong \angle 4   ( Vertically opposite angles )

\angle 1 \cong \angle 5            ( Alternative interior angle theorem)

Thus, By AA similarity postulate,

\triangle ABC \sim \triangle EDC

Hence, proved.

Second Option is correct.
