Odysseus tells Polyphemus that his name is nobody so
Schach [20]
Odysseus tells Polyphemus that his name was No Man, or Nobody, to trick the cyclops.

I'd say he did that so the cyclops will not be able to get help from his friends.

Which sentence or phrase reflects the theme that nature is indifferent to the troubles of man in this excerpt from "The Open Boa
Hunter-Best [27]
Sometimes he whirled down the incline of a wave as if he were on a hand sled.
The man is clearly in a context of desperation or at least difficulty, stuck out at sea on a life preserver. The imagery brings one of a childlike delight or a fun situation. However that is contrary to the actual situation. The man clings to a life preserver, trying to survive, not have fun, but nature rolls on, indifferent to this man's plight.

Please help me asap. We must abolish Daylight Saving Time. The practice of adjusting our clocks back in the fall and forward in
Llana [10]

The review of the argument of the writer is as follows:

 • He makes use of the bandwagon fallacy when he talks about the statistics of people who said Daylight Savings has made them less productive.
 • The argument would have been more convincing if he had made use of good supporting details.

What is an Argument?

This refers to the use of words and logic in order to convince a person about a given perspective or position on a particular topic.

Hence, we can see that the writer makes an argument to abolish Daylight Savings and tries to be forceful about it, without the use of proper supporting details.

He does not include the source of the research that talks about the 88% of workers who said Daylight Savings reduced their productivity, and he also made use of the bandwagon fallacy.

In its early days, which of the following was prohibited in the colony of Georgia?
77julia77 [94]

During the 1730s, the colony of Georgia prohibited the practice of African slavery (Option "C" is the correct answer). The founders of Georgia, who were known as the Trustees, banned black slavery as a matter of public policy. By the mid-1740s, the Trustees realized that prohibiting slavery was becoming a lost cause. So, the Trustees agreed that the ban on slavery would be overturned depending on the conditions for enslaved people. They wished to ensure a smaller ratio of blacks to whites in Georgia. However, the Trustees' ban expired in 1752 and the planters with their slaves soon dominated Georgia colony's government.
