The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Many diverse groups offered their support to the Patriots. Choose three of the following groups, and explain how each supported the American Revolution.

Women. American women played an important role in the Revolutionary War against the British troops. For instance, some women were spies during the war such as the Quaker Lydia Darragh. Other women such as Sybil Ludington warned the Patriots that the British troops were approaching.

African Americans decided to participate in the Continental Army led by General George Washington because they wanted to have freedom and better rights, and fighting in the war gave them hope to get them.

Foreign governments such as the French government helped the colonists with weaponry and supplies. The help of France helped the Continental Army to defeat the English troops.

The Women played a part in supporting the American Revolution by working hard for their economy the time when most men became soldiers. They served as volunteers to provide for the war.

African Americans joined the army with a promise of their freedom.

Foreign governments like Britain made their support because they were affected with the supplies they import from America.
