Write and solve an equation to find the width of the box if its volume is 80 cubic centimeters. Then find its surface area.
Lelu [443]

Answer:

L=4.30cm

SA=  110.94cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data

Volume of box= 80 cm^3

We know that the volume of a box is given as

V= l^3

80=l^3

l= ∛80

l= 4.30cm

also the surface area of a box is given as

SA=2lw+2lh+2hw

SA= 2* 4.30* 4.30+2* 4.30* 4.30+ 2* 4.30* 4.30

SA= 36.98+36.98+36.98

SA= 110.94cm^2

When is a *-m/n* a real number? *superscript
Aleksandr [31]

Since real numbers are closed with respect to division (i.e. the division between two real numbers is again a real number), the fraction -\frac{m}{n} is a real number everytime both m and n are real numbers.

In other words, you can choose any real number m and any real number n, and their ratio will still be a real number.

Of course, you have to follow the only rule that you can't divide by zero, so the answer is more precisely

m \in \mathbb{R},\quad n \in \mathbb{R}\setminus\{0\}
