The cost of pair of jeans is $ 58

Solution:

Let "x" be the cost of 1 jean

Then, cost of pair of jeans = 2x

Let "y" be the cost of a top

Mari spent 81.18 on a pair of jeans and a top

Therefore,

2x + y = 81.18 ------ eqn 1

The top cost 80% of the cost of the jeans

cost of top = 80 % of cost of jeans

y = 80 % of x

y = 0.8x ---------- eqn 2

Substitute eqn 2 in eqn 1

2x + 0.8x = 81.18\\\\2.8x = 81.18\\\\x = \frac{81.18}{2.8}

x = 28.99 \approx 29

Thus cost of pair of jeans = 2x = 2(29) = 58

Thus cost of pair of jeans is $ 58

What is the slope of this line?
It has the points of (-8,2) (0,2) and (7,2)
tresset_1 [31]

Answer:

Well the slope would be 0 because the y doesn't change. So if y is same it is 0, if x remains the same Slope is undefined, and then there is normal slope.

How do find the answer for the percent of a number
katrin2010 [14]
I don't really understand what you're asking, but say you have the number 67,to find 23% of that number, you would multiply 67 by .23, you will then get whatever 23% of 67 is.

The annual precipitation amounts in a certain mountain range are normally distributed with a mean of 91 inches, and a standard d
Vesna [10]
The sample std. dev. will be (14 inches) / sqrt(49), or (14 inches) / 7, or 2 inches.

Find the z score for 93.8 inches:
       93.8 inches - 91.0 inches          2.8 inches
z = ------------------------------------- = ----------------- = 1.4
                    2 inches                         2 inches

Now find the area under the standard normal curve to the left of z = +1.4.

My calculator returns the following:

normalcdf(-100,1.4) = 0.919. This is the probability that the mean annual precipitation during those 49 years will be less than 93.8 inches.

Good evening! Can someone please answer this, ill give you brainliest and your earning 50 points. Would be very appreciated.
Elden [556K]

Answer:

( 6(x)² + 12(x) - 90 ) ft³

Explanation:

  • deep end water: 2(x)² + 12(x) + 10
  • shallow end water: 4(x)² - 100

addition problem: 2(x)² + 12(x) + 10 + 4(x)² - 100

total volume of water:

  • 2(x)² + 12(x) + 10 + 4(x)² - 100
  • 2(x)² + 4(x)² + 12(x) + 10 - 100
  • 6(x)² + 12(x) - 90
