the answer is D.

I dont know how to add work for a question like this, however, I know how I'd show work....

Draw a graph and stick a point in the IV quadrant and label it "original". Then next to it, draw another graph and stick a point in the III quadrant and label it "reflection"

TIP: if you do that, make sure the points are in the same location in each quadrant

dimaraw [331]

Using the profit concept, it is found that the break-even point is of 61.6 units.

  • Profit is given by revenue subtracted by cost.
  • The break-even point is when the revenue is the same as the cost, which means that the profit is zero.

In this problem:

  • Variable cost per unit x of $217, fixed cost of $5,420, thus, the cost equation is given by:

C(x) = 217x + 5420

Selling price per unit of $305, thus, the revenue equation is given by:

R(x) = 305x

The break-even point is the <u>value of x</u> for which:

R(x) = C(x)

Then

305x = 217x + 5420

88x = 5420

x = \frac{5420}{88}

x = 61.6

The break-even point is of 61.6 units.

<u>Hello:</u>

<u />

<u>Okay, this problem should be taken in a series of steps</u>:

<u>What is the slope's formula?</u>

  \rm\hookrightarrow  \frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

  • (x₁,y₁) -- first point
  • (x₂,y₂) -- second point

<u>Okay, now let's use this knowledge</u>

10. (5,-19) and (-5,21)

       Slope = \frac{21--19}{-5-5} =\frac{40}{-10}=-4

11. (12,1) and (12, -1)

      Slope = \frac{-1-1}{12-12} =\frac{-2}{0}

12. (8,7) and (4,7)

     Slope = \frac{7-7}{4-7} =0

<u>Answer:</u>

  • Question 10: -4
  • Question 11: undefined
  • Question 12: 0

Hopefully that helps!
