You need to find a number that can go into both 3 and 12. 3 can go into 3 and 12. So, you would then find out, how many times does 3 go into this number? Well, 3 goes into 3 once of course, and 3 goes into 12 four times. (3 x 4 = 12) In a fraction, this would be 1/4. (1/4 is the simplification of 3/12)

Which properties can be used to solve 7y − 15 = −29? Select all that apply.
siniylev [52]

Answer:

addition property of equality

inverse property of multiplication

Step-by-step explanation:

7y − 15 = −29

Add 15 to each side using the addition property of equality

7y -15+15 = -29+15

7y = -14

Divide each side by 7 using the inverse property of multiplication

7y/7 = -14/7

y =2

Use the distributive property to write the following expression in expanded form.<br><br> 5(7h + 3m)
laiz [17]
<h3>hello!</h3>

==============================================================

The distributive property states that:-

\bigstar{\underline{\boxed{\pmb{a(b+c)=ab+ac}}}

Simplify:-

\bigstar{\boxed{\pmb{5(7h+3m)}}}

\longmapsto\sf{(5~times~7h)+)5*3m)

\longmapsto\sf{35h*15m}

===============================================================

<h3>note:-</h3>

Hope everything is clear; if you need any clarification/explanation, kindly let me know, and I will comment and/or edit my answer :)

5 units over
with a scale factor of .5

What this is asking is how do you turn the one shape into the other. The first answer is how many spaces apart they are. In this case the smaller rectangle EHGF was 5 units (or squares over... Also note that the fact that the larger rectangle is higher doesn't matter because the space is reduced when it is shrunk). The second answer was talking about how much smaller it was. This is identified by counting the sides. rectangle EHGF had sides 1 unit (square) and 2.5 units (squares) long this is half or .5 of the larger ABCD's 2 units (squares) and 5 units (squares).
