If it was -19+17 the answer is -2

and for multiplication it's impossible to get -2  with 17 unless you try subtracting and adding then yes there's a change<span />

Someone please help me I’m so confused!!!
QveST [7]

Answer:

number one.  186in^{2}  number two.  36cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

FOR NUMBER ONE:

the area of a trapezoid formula is   \frac{a+b}{2} h where a and b are the bases and h is the height. so we have to add in the numbers into the formula

\frac{12+15}{2} * 6\\ = <em>81</em>

and the paralellogram formula is b×h.  where b is the base and h is height

15 × 7 = <em>105</em>

so the area of the figure is 81 + 105 is 186 in^2

FOR NUMBER TWO:

the area of the square formula is s^{2}.   where s is the side

4^2 = <em>16</em>

and for the paralellogram is b × h

4 × 5 = <em>20</em>

so the area of the figure is 16 +20 = 36 in^2

hope this helps! ;)

An auto mechanic converts a metric part to 0.492 in. The part comes only in fractional sizes given to the nearest 64th of an inc
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

the closest part the mechanic can chose is 0.5 inch

Step-by-step explanation:

fractional sizes given to the nearest 64th of an inch = 1/64 = 0.0156

the closest size to 0.492in = 0.492 + 0.0156 = 0.5076 inches

approximately, the closest part the mechanic can chose is 0.5 inch
