The son would have a problem if and only if the mother is a carrier of the hemophilia gene. since hemophilia is x-linked, and the father passes down the y chromosome, the son cannot get hemophilia unless the mother has a gene.

there would be no problems since the father cannot pass on the trait, and if the mother is not a possible carrier.

If the mother was not homo zygous, she would be a carrier and still be able to pass the gene down to the son
