Answer:

Embedded in the membrane.

Explanation:

Proteins are the made of the polymers of amino acids that are linked together through the peptide bond. The amino acid consists of the amino group, carboxylic group, hydrogen and the R hydrocarbon chain.

The R group contains the different hydrocarbon chain. The R group is hydrophobic in nature and unable to dissolve in water. The proteins that has the R group on their surface tends to be buried inside the cell membrane as the lipid bilayer and the R group are hydrophobic in nature. The R group can be easily buried in the lipid membrane and stabilized by hydrophobic interaction.

Thus, these proteins are embedded in the membrane.

A protein that has many hydrophobic r-groups pointing to the outside of the protein would be found embedded within a membrane.

Some proteins are bound only to the membrane surface while others have one region buried within the membrane and domains on one or both sides of it. Domains within the membrane move molecules across the membrane.

* Describe at what point in the cell cycle cells begin to divide uncontrollably.
Butoxors [25]

Every cell in the body goes through a life cycle. Cells grow and divide to replace cells that are lost because of normal wear and tear or injury. Different cells grow and die at different rates. Some cells, such as epithelialepithelialA thin layer of epithelial cells that makes up the outer surfaces of the body (the skin) and lines hollow organs, glands and all passages of the respiratory, digestive, reproductive and urinary systems. cells, reproduce quickly. Other cells, like nerve cells, grow slowly. Both normal cells and cancer cells go through a sequence of steps, or phases, when they form new cells. This is called the cell cycle.

Which of the cells are involved in graft rejection?
Aleks04 [339]
T cells
The immune response to a transplanted organ consists of both cellular (lymphocyte mediated) and humoral (antibody mediated) mechanisms. Although other cell types are also involved, the T cells are central in the rejection of grafts. The rejection reaction consists of the sensitization stage and the effector stage.

How is a nuclear envelope similar to a cell membrane
Bond [772]

Answer:

It is similar because the nuclear envelope is a membrane similar to the cell membrane around the whole cell. There are pores and spaces for RNA and proteins to pass through while the nuclear envelope keeps all of the chromatin and nucleolus inside. When the cell is in a resting state there is something called chromatin in the nucleus.
