Answer: For the scientist to have alternative hypothesis considered, it is imperative he takes certain steps, this steps will ascertain the scientific claims already made about the evolution of species.

Therefore, the scientist will simply test the alternative hypotheses inorder to know that they are incorrect.

This testing of hypotheses to ascertain their incorrectness is very useful in the study of fossils.

When testing tonicity of red blood cells, if the solution became transparent after adding blood cells, you could assume:.
sveticcg [70]

If the solution becomes transparent we could assume that ; The solution was hypotonic and the cells had burst.

Tonicity of red blood cells

To test for Tonicity of red blood cells, we placed the cells in a solution. When red blood cells are placed in hypotonic solution there is high rate of osmosis in which the solvent flows into the red cells placed in the solution the cells will experience a process known as Hemolysis and these cells do not diffuse light, the solution becomes a red transparent solution.

Hence we can conclude that If the solution becomes transparent we could assume that ; The solution was hypotonic and the cells had burst.

Why is formation of atp by atp synthase in the mitochondria known as oxidative phosphorylation?
Softa [21]

Answer:

Because the redox reactions create proton gradient which is responsible for the production of ATP

Explanation:

During the process of aerobic respiration, the electron transport occurs in mitochondria through a sequence which is known as electron transport chain. When electrons are transferred from one complex to the other complex present in the inner membrane of mitochondria, the redox reactions occur and as a result of these redox reactions the proton gradient is created across the inner membrane of mitochondria. This proton gradient is further used to drive the synthesis of ATP with the help of ATP synthase. As the redox reactions create proton gradient which is responsible for the production of ATP, the process is named as the oxidative phosphorylation.
