. . .

What Is It?

Coordinate Graphing

Coordinate graphing sounds very dramatic but it is actually just a visual method for showing relationships between numbers. The relationships are shown on a coordinate grid. A coordinate grid has two perpendicular lines, or axes, labeled like number lines. The horizontal axis is called the x-axis. The vertical axis is called the y-axis. The point where the x-axis and y-axis intersect is called the origin.

A Ferris wheel has a diameter of 100 feet. The highest point of the wheel is 125 feet. The y-axis represents the center of the w
Free_Kalibri [48]

Answer: x^2+(y-125)^2=2500

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: The diameter of the Ferris wheel= 100 feet

therefore, the radius of the Ferris wheel= 50 feet

Also, the highest point of the wheel is 125 feet.

Since , y axis represents the center of the wheel.

The center of the wheel= (0,125)

The equation of circle with center (h,k) and radius 'r' is given by :

(x-h)^2+(y-k)^2=r^2

Thus, the equation of the circle with center (0,125) and radius=50 is given by :-

(x-0)^2+(y-125)^2=(50)^2\\\Rightarrow\ x^2+(y-125)^2=2500

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

5.

a.

Variable y is independent

Variable x is dependent

b.

f_f(x)=0.063*x+0 . Computer's best guess is this given the points. Needing further information. [DO NOT TRUST THIS ANSWER] (for b.)

c.

Unit rate = a rate for one of something. Calculate how much y, cost increases for one fluid ounces, x.

d.

Cost, y = 2.

6.

a.

y = [UNABLE TO FIND]

b.

Let's say user chooses a random area of 6. 6 = 1/2bh. We know, in accordance to the table that the height, x correlating to area, 6 is 2.

1/2 * 2 = 1

1 * b = 6, b = 6.

7.

a.

y = 64x

In accordance to the graph, an increase of 128 miles takes 2 hours. That means in 1 hour, there is an increase of 64 miles.

b.

64 miles per hour.

Suppose you invest $130 a month for 5 years into an account earning 8% compounded monthly. After 5 years, you leave the money, w
Zina [86]

Answer:

FV= $70,887.15

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we need to calculate the future value of the $130 deposit for 5 years:

FV= {A*[(1+i)^n-1]}/i

A= monthly deposit= $130

i= 0.08/12= 0.0067

n= 5*12= 60 months

FV= {130*[(1.0067^60) - 1]} / 0.0067

FV= $9,561.96

Now, using the following formula, the future value of the investment after 25 years:

FV= PV*(1 + i)^n

n= 25*12= 300

FV= 9,561.96*(1.0067^300)

FV= $70,887.15
