Answer:

Therefore electric conductivity \sigma=1.46  (Ω-m)⁻¹

Explanation:

\sigma=\frac{1}{\rho} =\frac{Il}{VA}

Here σ= electrical conductivity

        I = current = 0.1 A

        l= length= 38 mm= 38×10⁻³ m

       v= voltage = 12.5 V

      A = area = \pi(\frac{d}{2} )^{2} = \pi (\frac{51\times 10^{-3}}{2} )^2 m²

\sigma=\frac{(0.1)\times 38\times 10^{-3}}{12.5\times \pi (\frac{51\times 10^{-3}}{2} )^2 }

  =1.46 (Ω-m)⁻¹

Therefore electric conductivity \sigma=1.46  (Ω-m)⁻¹

Describe the difference between accuracy and precision. How do these two concepts relate to the idea of significant digits?
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

Accuracy of a measured value refers to how close a measurement is to the correct value. The uncertainty in a measurement is an estimate of the amount by which the measurement result may differ from this value. Precision of measured values refers to how close the agreement is between repeated measurements.

#1: A material has a density of 8.9 g/cm^3. You have six cubic centimeters of the substance. What is the material’s mass in gram
sveta [45]
<span>The density of a material = mass/ volume From the question, volume = 6 cm^3. Since the density = 8.9 g/cm^3 We have that 8.9 = mass/ 6 So mass = 8.9 * 6 = 53.4 So it follows that our mass = 53.4g. Hence option D which is 53g.</span>

A 65.0-mL aqueous solution contains 7.54 g of copper (II) chloride, CuCl2. Calculate the molarity of the solution. {Ans. ~ [CuCl
Kamila [148]

The first thing we need to remember is that:

We have 7.54g of CuCl2 so we need to express this amount in moles dividing by the molar mass of CuCl2.

This is:

And, also remember that 65.0mL equals 0.065L.

Now, replacing in the molarity equation:

Thus the answer is 0.862M.
