Answer:

(b) 32.2°

Explanation:

Using Snell's law as:

n_i\times {sin\theta_i}={n_r}\times{sin\theta_r}

Where,

{\theta_i}  is the angle of incidence  ( 30.0° )

{\theta_r} is the angle of refraction  ( ? )

{n_r} is the refractive index of the refraction medium  (Material B, n=5 / 4)

{n_i} is the refractive index of the incidence medium (Material A, n=4 / 3)

Hence,

{\frac {4}{3}}\times {sin30.0^0}={\frac {5}{4}}\times{sin\theta_r}

Angle of refraction = sin^{-1}0.5333 = 32.2°

_________ forces exist between objects that are not in contact with each other
valina [46]

Answer:

Gravity as well as electrostatic and magnetic attraction and repulsion provide real life examples of forces being exerted by one object on another without them being in contact with each other. Many children are aware of magnetism and have played with fridge magnets.

Which one is NOT an application of heating effect of electric current ? * Required to answer. Single choice.(1 Point) Electric b
solmaris [256]

Answer:

Electromagnet.

Explanation:

Electric bulb and electric water heather are application of heating effect of electric current. The electromagnet is not the result of heating effect of electric current. The bulb gives light due to the heating effect similarly the water is heated or warmed by the heating effect of electric current.

What is an element that needs to lose or gain<br> 4 valence electrons in order to become<br> stable?
tiny-mole [99]

Answer:

Elements in Group 14 could lose four, or gain four electrons to achieve a noble gas structure. In fact, if they are going to form ions, Group 14 elements form positive ions. Carbon and silicon form covalent bonds. Carbon's millions of organic compounds are all based on shared electrons in covalent bonds.

A 90-meter train travels at a constant speed of 10 meters per second. How long will it take to cross a 0.06 bridge?
salantis [7]

Answer:

The time taken for the train to cross the bridge is 9.01 s

Explanation:

Given;

length of the train, L₁ = 90 m

length of the bridge, L₂ = 0.06 m

speed of the train, v = 10 m/s

Total distance to be traveled, = L₁ + L₂

                                                  = 90 m + 0.06 m

                                                   = 90.06 m

Time of motion = Distance / speed

Time of motion = 90.06 / 10

Time of motion = 9.006 s ≅ 9.01 s

Therefore, the time taken for the train to cross the bridge is 9.01 s
