Answer:

(D)Isabella should have divided the product of 12\pi \:cm^2, and 9 by 3 to get V=\frac{1}{3}*12\pi*9.

Step-by-step explanation:

Isabella uses the expression: V=\frac{1}{3}*12^2*9*\pi to find the volume of a cone with the following dimensions:

Height=9cm

Base Area =12\pi \:cm^2

Volume of a Cone ,V=\frac{1}{3}*Base\:Area*Height=\frac{1}{3}\pi r^2 h

=\frac{1}{3}*12\pi*9

Since the base area of the cone =12\pi \:cm^2, Isabella should have divided the product of 12\pi \:cm^2, and 9 by 3 to get V=\frac{1}{3}*12\pi*9.

Question 5 (2) x cube - 3x square 9x - 5
kakasveta [241]
Please, post the instructions along with your question, and if possible share the question in symbolic form, not in words.

Do you mean Question #5?  By  (2) x cube, do you mean 2x^3?

I strongly suggest that you use lots of parentheses (   ) to show how your numbers are grouped, and not to use " x " to denote multiplication (use " * " for that, please.

If only you'll clear this up, I'd be happy to help.

I will assume that your post is   2x^3 - 3(9x-5)^2.

Then 2x^3 - 3(81x - 90x + 25).  Does this have any resemblance to what you wanted me to see in your post?

Imagine a population of birds with an initial size of 100, a per-capita birth rate of 2, and a per-capita death rate of 1 per ye
Soloha48 [4]

Answer:

3200

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

The initial population of birds N_0 = 100

The time duration t = 5 years

Growth rate (r) = (Birth - Death) rate

= 2 - 1

= 1 / year

∴

using the discrete-time form:

N_t = N_o (1 + r )^t

N_t = 100 (1 + 1 )^5

N_t = 100 (2 )^5

N_t = 100 \times 32

N_t = 3200
