Factorize this polynomial function
x³-7x+6
Hint:x³-7x+6=0
dolphi86 [110]

Answer:

(x - 1)(x - 2)(x + 3)

Explanation:

f(x)=x3-7x+6 Since (a + b + c + d = 0), then f(1) = 0 --> one factor if (x - 1).

After division -->

f(x)=(x-1)(x2f2+x-6). The trinomial in parentheses can be factored.

Find 2 numbers knowing sum (1) and product (-6). They are -2 and 3.

Therefor, f(x)=(x-1)(x-2)(x+3)

a) this means that his weight was 25% more than baby boys his age and 75% less than baby boys his age. He's in the low percentage of weight and his weight is smaller compared to a large percentile of other baby boys.

b) at 8 months old. Where most baby boys' weight would be more than 8 kg and his is barely over 6 kg. This shows that the estimated increase of atleast 500g weight of a baby is not displayed by his chart and it shows he's undergrowth.
