URGENT!! In certain varieties of chicken, an allele for black feathers (IB) is co-dominant with an allele for white feathers (IW

). Part A: Predict the phenotype that will be expressed by a chicken that is heterozygous (IBIW) for feather color. Part B: Suppose a solid white hen (IWIW) mates with a solid black rooster (IBIB). Predict the percentage of their offspring that will express a co-dominant phenotype. In your answer, be sure to explain the reasoning behind your prediction. Part C: Describe how co-dominance is different from incomplete dominance.

Answer:

A) black and white strips on the feathers

B) 100 %

C) Co-dominance allows expression of two different traits individually without blending/mixing while incomplete dominance allows expression of a new trait by blending the two parental traits.

Explanation:

Part A-

Since the two alleles i.e an allele for black feathers (IB) and an allele for white feathers (IW) are co-dominant. Thus, a heterozygous individual that has both IB and IW allele will have black and white strips on the feathers.

Part B-

A solid white hen (IWIW) and solid black rooster (IBIB) mates , then the following offspring will be produced

IBIW, IBIW, IBIW, IBIW

Out of four offspring, all are heterozygous and thus they are co-dominant.

Thus, 100% offspring express a co-dominant phenotype.

Part C-

Co-dominance allows expression of two different traits individually without blending/mixing while incomplete dominance allows expression of a new trait by blending the two parental traits.

Which of the following pathways does NOT directly deliver materials to lysosomes? A. Exocytosis B. Phagocytosis C. Autophagy D.
Lelu [443]

Answer: Option A) Exocytosis

Explanation:

Unlike the other pathways mentioned, exocytosis involves the outward movement of outside the cells. This is vital in the removal of waste products generated within the cell.

Thus, exocytosis is the answer because it expels materials out of the cell, rather than deliver materials to lysosomes

Because they alter the reading frame of all base-pair triplets, base-pair additions and deletions are collectively referred to a
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

The correct answer is option c. "frameshift mutations".

Explanation:

The reading frame of a gene is based on base-pair triplets, starting from the start codon until the ribosome encounters with the end codon. Base-pair additions and deletions are collectively referred to as frameshift mutations because they alter the reading frame of the gene. Base-pair additions and deletions break down the original sequence of the gene triplets, which alters the open reading frame and usually results in the production of non active proteins.

What kind of math is used to solve one time pad?
Mnenie [13.5K]

Answer: i know it not the answer

Explanation:

What is one time pad?

The one-time pad (OTP) is a theoretically unbreakable cipher. However, in practice it is of limited usability because it requires a pre-shared key of at least the same length as the message. This tool helps you encode or decode one-time pads if you have the key.

About Math Pad. MathPad is a tool for students to work on addition, subtraction, multiplication or division problems on a computer. MathPad is a word processor for math, not a tutorial or calculator. The student provides answers to math problems and the final answers can be checked in the Problem List mode for accuracy.
