Before determining if the behavior of the exchange student is abnormal and if ever he is experiencing a mental condition, it is needed first to identify or know whether the action that he exhibits in obtaining a bad grade is normal in their culture. It is because of the fact that he is from another country, he could be acting the way his culture is and how he is raised. It is better to asses and know first if they usually does this before assuming that he is experiencing a condition that isn't normal.
