Sickle Cell Anemia. The blood cells turn into a half-moon shape. They obviously can only carry half or less nutrients a health blood cell can, and it can clog up blood vessels.
Fun Fact: people heterozygous for sickle cell anemia are resistant to malaria.
The contractile ring shrinks through the center of the cell, evenly dividing the cytoplasm between the two halves. This indicates that cytokinesis is completed and the cell has been replicated.
