Answer:

hypotonic

Explanation:

Ciliates are heterotrophic organisms that lack cell wall and use numerous small cilia for locomotion. They have an outer tough membrane called as pellicle.

There are around 8000 species of ciliates and most of them occur in freshwater. The excess water from outside continuously moves inside the ciliates via osmosis and makes them hypotonic compared to outside solution. This excess water is removed actively via contractile vacuoles. Central ring of the vacuole collects water and actively transports it outside.

Explanation:

Transcription and translation The information stored in a gene's DNA is transferred to a similar molecule called RNA (ribonucleic acid) in the cell nucleus during the transcription process. During protein synthesis, translation is the process of converting the sequence of a messenger RNA (mRNA) molecule to a sequence of amino acids. The genetic code describes the relationship between the base pair sequence in a gene and the amino acid sequence that it encodes.

Animals takes in this oxygen and release it as (blank)?
allsm [11]
Animals take in this oxygen and release it as carbon dioxide. It is the process of respiration that helps the animals to survive. Actually the oxygen is transferred to the blood and the cells and then the carbon oxide is transferred from the blood and cells to the lungs for breathing out. Carbon dioxide is a waste material for our body. The build up of carbon dioxide in the body can be very fatal and lead to death of the animal. It is actually the reverse in case of plants. Plants take in carbon dioxide for making food by the process of photosynthesis and gives out oxygen. So it is a balancing act between animals and plants.
