PolarNik [594]

Answer:

  It was small and ill-equipped.

Explanation:

During World War I the U.S. Navy focused on countering Germans U-boats and send men and supplies to France and Italy.

When the Congress declared war on April of 1917 the United States Navy was ill-prepared for war so the solution they found was to deploy everything they got available for the convoy to transport the millions of troops and supplies across the Atlantic Ocean.

How can you travel by canoe from elizabeth NJ to Yellowstone National Park without taking the canoe out the water?
Ghella [55]

As Elizabeth is located in the Atlantic Ocean, you would have to start there. You travel down around Florida to New Orleans to then take the Mississippi River. As you travel north, you go west when you get to St. Louis, along the Missouri River.

The Yellowstone river joins the Missouri river just across the North Dakota state line.
