Lets solve by parts numerator and denominator.

a)

Numerator:

-| 5^2 - 6^2|

-| 25 - 36|

-|-11|

-11

Denominator:

5^3 = 125

(-8)^2 = 64

-2(7) = 14

125 - 64 - 8 - 14

39

Answer = -11/39

b)

Numerator:

3 - 7/10

30/10 - 7/10

23/10

Denominator:

5/12 - 7/8 + 17/10

400/960 - 840/960 + 1632/960

1192/960 = 298/240 = 149/120

Answer = (23/10) / (149/120)

(23/10) * (120/149)

(23*120) / (10*149)

276 / 149

A. -x-3(x-1) = x-2
Distribute -3 through the parenthesis
-x-3x+3 = x-2
Collect like terms
-4x + 3 = x-2
Move variable to the left side and change its sign
-4x + -x +3= -2
Move constant to the right side and change its sign
-4x - x= -2-3
collect like terms
-5x = -2-3
calculate the difference
-5x = -5
Divide both sides equal by -5
x= -1

B. 9x + 1/5-8x-7/10-4x/5
Calculate the difference
1/5x + 1/5 - 1/10
Subract the fraction
1/5x - 1/2

If the area of the outer square is 4x2, then the area of the inner square is
konstantin123 [22]
Answered by the following sums - Outer square area = 4x^2 side of the square = 2x which is equal to diameter of circle == diameter of inner square. radius of circle = x diameter of outer square = 2*sqrt(2)*x consider side of inner square = a so a^2 + a^2 = (2x)^2 2a^2 = 4x^2 a = x*sqrt(2) So area of inner square will be = 2x^2
