What compelled the Grimms to concentrate on old German epics, tales, and literature was a belief that the most natural and pure

forms of culture—those which held the community together—were linguistic and based in history. According to them, modern literature, even though it might be remarkably rich, was artificial and thus could not express the genuine essence of Volk culture that emanated naturally from experience and bound the people together. Therefore, all their efforts went toward uncovering stories from the past. –“How the Grimm Brothers Saved the Fairy Tale,” Jack Zipes What is the author’s purpose for writing the essay "How the Grimm Brothers Saved the Fairy Tale”? to entertain children with details from the Grimms’ tales to persuade adults to read and enjoy fairy tales more often to inform scholars of the ways modern literature can be artificial to inform readers of the reasons why the Grimms collected their tales

elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]

Answer:

It is usually easier to calculate an enzyme's reaction velocity from the rate of appearance of PRODUCT rather than the rate of disappearance of a SUBSTRATE. Enzyme activity is measured as an INITIAL reaction velocity, the velocity before much SUBSTRATE has been depleted and before much PRODUCT has been generated. It is easier to measure the appearance of a small amount of PRODUCT from a baseline of zero PRODUCT than to measure the disappearance of small amount of SUBSTRATE against a background of high concentration of SUBSTRATE.

Translation ends when
Y_Kistochka [10]

<span>Translation

</span>Remember that transcription happens in the nucleus as it changes from DNA to mRNA.  In translation,
the mRNA first has to leave the nucleus and go into the cytoplasm of the cell.  The process of translation actually occurs in the cell’s ribosomes.

<span>
</span>The process of translation uses the genetic code on the mRNA strand to direct the construction (making) of a protein molecule. <span>
</span>1.  A ribosome attaches to an mRNA molecule in the cytoplasm.<span>
</span>2.  As each codon passes through the ribosome, tRNA molecules bring the matching amino acids into the ribosome.  Each tRNA has a set of 3 unpaired nitrogenous bases called an anticodon which matches up with the codon coming through the ribosome.  So one end of a tRNA has an anticodon and the other end carries the amino acid which is how the code is translated.<span>
</span>3.  The ribosome and the rRNA molecules it contains attach the amino acids together as they are being translated.  The protein chain will keep growing until the ribosome reaches the stop codon on the mRNA.  At that point, translation is done and the ribosome lets go.

Hope this helps!!!

Genes contain instructions for assembling Question 56 options: a. purines. b. nucleosomes. c. proteins. d. pyrimidines.
sergejj [24]

Answer:

c. Proteins

Explanation:

A stretch of DNA that code for specific proteins is said to be a gene. A gene is transcribed into mRNA. The mRNA has a nucleotide sequence complementary to the corresponding gene. The nucleotide sequence of mRNA is read in the form of genetic codes during the process of protein synthesis to specify the amino acid sequence of proteins. Therefore, genes carry the genetic information for the assembly of proteins and the processes of transcription and translation deliver the stored genetic information.
